Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported a sharp drop in air defence missile deliveries as Russia continues heavy strikes, while the EU transferred €1.4B from frozen assets.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that international deliveries of air defence interceptor missiles have fallen to one-third of previous levels, leaving defensive systems strained during escalated Russian bombardments. The announcement follows a third massive strike this week targeting Kyiv and nearby regions, which killed at least 15 people and injured dozens. Ukrainian officials noted that forces lacked sufficient interceptors to counter incoming Russian missiles. Meanwhile, Zelensky stated Ukraine has met all conditions to open four additional chapter clusters in European Union accession talks. Concurrently, the EU transferred 1.4 billion euros to Kyiv, sourced from interest generated by immobilized Russian central bank assets.
