Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned of a sharp drop in air defense interceptor deliveries, even as Ukraine advances EU accession talks and receives €1.4 billion from frozen Russian assets.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that deliveries of critical air defense interceptor missiles have fallen to one-third of last year's levels amid escalating Russian missile and drone bombardments. Following consultations with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Zelensky highlighted the urgency of securing additional interceptors to safeguard vital infrastructure and urban centers.

Despite defense supply constraints, Kyiv announced diplomatic and economic advancements. Zelensky stated that Ukraine has fulfilled all necessary requirements to open four new European Union accession negotiation clusters. Furthermore, the EU released a fifth tranche of €1.4 billion generated from interest on frozen Russian central bank assets to support Ukrainian defense and state functions.
