U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Ukraine and Russia to negotiate a peace agreement before winter following talks with Volodymyr Zelensky.

Following high-level talks in Washington, U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a peace agreement before winter. Speaking after a phone conversation with Putin, Trump expressed confidence that the Russian leader seeks a resolution, adding that "if Zelensky wants a deal, that would be great."

In response, Zelensky characterized his meeting with Trump as "positive and productive," stating that both Washington and Kyiv aim to end the conflict in the coming months. While both leaders underscored a shared desire to halt hostilities, no specific parameters or official terms for potential negotiations have been publicly outlined by any of the parties involved.
