Russian forces launched widespread overnight missile and drone strikes across several Ukrainian regions, causing extensive damage and casualties. Local officials reported at least 17 fatalities and dozens of injuries in the Kyiv region following heavy overnight bombardments that sparked major fires.

Further strikes hit the Dnipropetrovsk region, where authorities recorded five deaths and 16 injuries across nearly 60 attacks, including a lethal drone strike on a petrol station near Kryvyi Rih. Additional targeted strikes involving roughly 180 drones were reported in Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia.

Concurrently, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed troops captured the settlements of Vasyutinske and Toretsk in the eastern Donetsk region. Ukrainian military officials reported continued heavy combat along the eastern front lines.
