Widespread Russian missile and drone strikes across Ukraine have killed over 20 people, while Moscow claims to have captured two eastern settlements.

Overnight Russian air strikes across Ukraine killed at least 23 people and wounded dozens, local officials reported. Attacks targeted multiple regions, including Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia, using approximately 180 drones alongside missiles.

In the Kyiv area, municipal authorities confirmed at least 15 fatalities and multiple fires in residential and industrial zones, describing the assault as one of the deadliest targeting the capital. Meanwhile, regional officials in Dnipropetrovsk reported five deaths and 16 injuries following nearly 60 bombardments across five districts, including a drone attack on a gas station near Kryvyi Rih.

On the eastern front, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed control of two settlements in the Donetsk region, Vasyutinske and Toretsk. Ukrainian military reports acknowledged severe combat along the frontline without confirming any territorial losses.
