Russian drone and artillery bombardments killed at least eight people across Ukraine, while Moscow claimed territorial gains in the Donetsk region amidst intense combat.

Russian drone and artillery strikes across multiple regions in Ukraine have killed at least eight people and injured over 60 within a 24-hour period.

Local authorities reported that around 180 drones targeted civilian areas, including Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia. In Dnipropetrovsk alone, five people died and 16 sustained injuries following nearly 60 attacks across five districts, including Pavlohrad and Kamianske. A separate drone strike on a petrol station near Kryvyi Rih resulted in three civilian fatalities, among them an eight-year-old child.

Meanwhile, ground clashes intensified in eastern Ukraine. The Russian Defence Ministry claimed that its troops seized the settlements of Toretsk and Vasyutinske in the Donetsk region, while Ukrainian authorities reported defending against heavy assaults along active frontline sectors.
