Russian drone and artillery bombardments have killed at least eight people across Ukraine, while Moscow claims to have captured two settlements in the Donetsk region.

Russian drone and artillery bombardments across several Ukrainian regions have killed at least eight people and injured more than 60 over a 24-hour span.

Local officials reported that approximately 180 drones targeted areas including Odesa, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, nearly 60 strikes across five districts caused five fatalities and 16 injuries, notably affecting Kamianske and Pavlohrad. Additionally, a drone strike on a petrol station near Kryvyi Rih killed three civilians, including an eight-year-old child.

Concurrently, intense combat continued along the eastern front lines. Russia's Defence Ministry asserted that its forces captured the settlements of Vasyutinske and Toretsk in the Donetsk region, while Ukrainian military officials emphasised ongoing heavy clashes across active sectors.
