At least eight people were killed and dozens injured in Russian strikes across Ukraine, as Moscow claimed the capture of two settlements in the Donetsk region.

At least eight people were killed and over 60 injured in a wave of Russian drone and artillery strikes across Ukraine, local authorities reported. Ukrainian officials stated that approximately 180 drones targeted multiple regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region alone, five people died and 16 were wounded following strikes across several districts, including Kamianske, Pavlohrad, and Nikopol. A separate drone strike on a fuel station near Kryvyi Rih resulted in three deaths, among them an eight-year-old child.

Concurrently, the Russian Defence Ministry claimed its forces seized the settlements of Toretsk and Vasyutinske in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian officials acknowledged intense combat along the eastern front line as defensive operations continued.
