Russian bombardments have killed at least eight people across Ukraine, while Moscow claims new territorial gains in the Donetsk region.

Russian forces have launched extensive aerial and artillery strikes across multiple Ukrainian regions, causing at least eight deaths and injuring dozens of civilians over a 24-hour period.

Regional authorities stated that approximately 180 drones targeted locations across Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia. The Dnipropetrovsk region experienced extensive damage, with emergency services reporting five fatalities and 16 wounded across Kamianske and Pavlohrad districts. A separate drone strike on a fuel station near Kryvyi Rih resulted in three additional deaths, including an eight-year-old child.

Meanwhile, ground combat remains heavy in eastern Ukraine. The Russian Defence Ministry asserted that its troops captured the settlements of Toretsk and Vasyutinske in the Donetsk region, while Ukrainian authorities reported persistent, fierce fighting along the front line.
