Russian attacks across eastern Ukraine killed three civilians and left thousands without power, while UN data indicates July saw the highest civilian death toll since April 2022.

Russian bombardments across eastern and northern Ukraine killed at least three civilians and injured nine others, while severe infrastructure damage left nearly 99,000 residents without electricity in Chernihiv Oblast. In Donetsk Oblast, continuous shelling in the frontline town of Druzhkivka reduced its population from a pre-war 56,000 to under 4,000.

Data from the United Nations Human Rights Office revealed July saw Ukraine's highest monthly civilian death toll since April 2022, driven by intensified long-range missile and drone strikes. Meanwhile, Kyiv denied intentionally targeting Bulgarian territory after an errant drone detonated near a natural gas pipeline in Bulgaria, with Ukrainian and Bulgarian authorities maintaining active communication over the incident.
