Russian strikes inflict fresh casualties across Ukraine as Moscow claims eastern advances

Russian forces have launched extensive aerial attacks across Ukraine, deploying roughly 180 drones against regions including Odesa, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk. The strikes resulted in at least eight fatalities and left more than 60 individuals injured nationwide.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, emergency services recorded five deaths and 16 injuries following nearly 60 bombardments across several districts, including Kamianske, Pavlohrad, and Nikopol. Near Kryvyi Rih, a drone hit a fuel station, killing three people, including an eight-year-old child.

Simultaneously, the Russian defence ministry asserted that its troops captured the eastern Donetsk settlements of Vasyutinske and Toretsk. Ukrainian authorities reported that intense frontline combat remains ongoing in the area.
