Russian aerial strikes hit Kyiv, Sumy, and Mykolaiv, leaving at least 15 dead, while Ukrainian special forces reported capturing two Russian soldiers on the frontline.

Russian forces executed a wave of nocturnal drone and missile attacks across Ukraine, causing substantial casualties and infrastructural damage. Officials reported at least 15 fatalities and 51 injuries in Kyiv and its surrounding district following the third major bombardment on the capital within a week, which set residential and industrial facilities ablaze.

In Sumy, guided aerial bombs struck residential homes, killing three civilians, including two young children. Further south, drone attacks damaged two commercial vessels in the port district of Mykolaiv, according to regional military authorities.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces announced the capture of two Russian soldiers from concealed positions on the frontline during a targeted operation conducted without firing any weapons.
