Russian shelling killed five people and injured 16 across Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, local emergency services reported.

At least five people were killed and 16 others sustained injuries following widespread Russian shelling across Ukraine's eastern Dnipropetrovsk region over a 24-hour period, according to local emergency services. Russian forces launched nearly 60 attacks targeting five separate districts in the region.

The heaviest casualties were recorded in the Kamianske district, where three civilians died and five others were wounded. In Pavlohrad, artillery strikes left two people dead and seven injured, while additional injuries occurred in the Nikopol district. Emergency response crews and firefighters were dispatched to extinguish blazes caused by the bombardments and assist casualties. Ukrainian authorities are evaluating the extent of infrastructure damage as rescue operations wrap up in the affected communities.
