Russian drone attacks across Ukraine have left eight dead and over 60 injured, while Moscow claims to have captured two settlements in the Donetsk region amid heavy fighting.

Russian forces deployed around 180 unmanned aerial vehicles targeting multiple regions across Ukraine, including Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia, leaving at least eight people dead and more than 60 injured.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, local emergency authorities confirmed five deaths and 16 injuries following dozens of strikes across five districts, with fatal casualties reported in the Kamianske and Pavlohrad areas. A separate strike hit a petrol station near Kryvyi Rih, killing three individuals, among them an eight-year-old child.

Meanwhile, along the eastern front, the Russian defence ministry asserted that its units seized control of two settlements in the Donetsk region, Vasyutinske and Toretsk. Ukrainian military reports described continuous heavy combat in active sectors across the frontline.
