Russian drone strikes across several Ukrainian regions have killed at least eight people, while Moscow claims new territorial gains in Donetsk.

Russian forces have carried out widespread drone strikes across several Ukrainian regions, including Odesa, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk, deploying approximately 180 unmanned aerial vehicles. The attacks resulted in at least eight fatalities and left more than 60 people injured nationwide.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, local emergency services recorded five deaths and 16 injuries following dozens of strikes targeting districts such as Kamianske, Pavlohrad, and Nikopol. Near Kryvyi Rih, a drone struck a fuel station, killing three people, including an eight-year-old child.

Meanwhile, on the eastern front, the Russian defence ministry asserted that its units captured the Donetsk settlements of Vasyutinske and Toretsk. Ukrainian authorities reported that intense combat remains active across the frontline.
