Escalating Russian attacks across Ukraine have left hundreds dead, triggering civilian evacuations in eastern and southern regions as Kyiv seeks air defense systems.

Escalating Russian missile and drone attacks across Ukraine have resulted in rising civilian casualties and forced thousands of residents to flee eastern and southern regions. A Russian double-strike on a Kryvyi Rih shopping center killed at least 14 people and injured over 120, contributing to July's toll of 437 civilian deaths—the highest monthly figure since early 2022.

In response to damaged infrastructure and impending winter power shortages, Kherson Regional Governor Oleksandr Prokudin urged families and elderly residents to evacuate. Concurrently, the transit hub of Lozova is receiving up to 300 displaced individuals daily from the Donetsk region.

As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reiterates urgent calls for Western Patriot air defense systems, domestic authorities are intensifying street enforcement to recruit draft-eligible men, with up to two million reportedly avoiding military service.
