Russian air strikes kill dozens across Ukraine as Moscow claims Donetsk advances

Overnight Russian missile and drone attacks across Ukraine left at least 25 people dead and dozens injured. In the Kyiv region, local authorities reported up to 17 fatalities and 44 injuries following intense bombardment that sparked widespread fires in the capital and its suburbs.

Russian forces also launched approximately 180 drones targeting southern and eastern regions. Dnipropetrovsk officials reported five deaths across nearly 60 separate strikes, including a fatal hit on a petrol station near Kryvyi Rih. Additional damage was recorded in Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia.

On the ground, Moscow claimed its forces took control of the Donetsk settlements of Vasyutinske and Toretsk. Ukrainian military reports indicated that heavy combat remains ongoing along the eastern front lines.
