Russia and Ukraine exchanged heavy aerial and artillery strikes overnight, targeting Moscow with hundreds of drones and devastating frontline settlements in eastern Ukraine.

Cross-border strikes between Russia and Ukraine have intensified, causing casualties, power disruptions, and urban devastation across multiple regions.

Ukrainian forces launched a major drone assault directed at Moscow, with local authorities reporting that over 600 unmanned aircraft were deployed. Russian air defense units reportedly intercepted more than 200 drones across the Moscow region, while at least three people were injured during the overnight operation.

Concurrently, Russian aerial and artillery bombardments struck eastern Ukraine. Attacks in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and surrounding areas left at least three people dead and nine others injured. Infrastructure strikes also caused blackouts for roughly 99,000 consumers in northern Chernihiv Oblast. Further east in Donetsk Oblast, persistent shelling has severely damaged the frontline city of Druzhkivka, where the remaining population has fallen below 4,000 from nearly 56,000 before the invasion.
