Romanian poll places opposition party AUR at 10.8 percent support

A new poll places Romania's opposition party AUR at 10.8% support, ranking it behind major parties and a potential movement led by Călin Georgescu.
A new survey by the Institute for Economic and Public Policies places Romania's right-wing opposition party, Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), at 10.8% in voting intentions. The figure ranks AUR behind the Social Democratic Party, the National Liberal Party, the Save Romania Union, and a potential political party led by Călin Georgescu.
Combined potential support for AUR and Georgescu reaches 23.9%. Meanwhile, AUR leader George Simion registered high distrust ratings, standing at 58.8%.
The institute conducting the poll is led by Marius Lulea, an AUR co-founder who was expelled from the party and remains in an ongoing dispute with its current executive team.
