Saudi Arabia has extended Riyadh airport's closure following a deadly Houthi missile strike, while regional tensions mount across the Gulf.

Saudi Arabia has extended the closure of Riyadh’s international airport following a Houthi missile attack that killed 12 people and injured over 300. Iran-backed Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the strike and warned international airlines to avoid Saudi airspace as new drone and missile threats emerged.

In related developments, a Saudi military helicopter crashed near the border town of Najran, killing two crew members. Additional maritime incidents were reported near the United Arab Emirates and the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran’s Revolutionary Guard issued warnings against interfering with regional shipping. In response to the escalating crisis, the United States is evaluating potential military options against Iranian targets.
