Russian overnight attacks across Ukraine killed at least 22 people, while Moscow claimed to have captured two settlements in Donetsk.

Russian forces launched extensive overnight missile and drone strikes across several Ukrainian regions, including Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian officials reported at least 17 deaths and dozens of injuries in the Kyiv capital area following intense bombardments that sparked widespread fires, with local authorities describing the barrage as "one of the most tragic attacks so far."

In Dnipropetrovsk, regional emergency services registered five fatalities and 16 injuries following nearly 60 strikes. A drone attack near Kryvyi Rih struck a petrol station, killing three people, including an eight-year-old child.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed its forces captured two settlements, Vasyutinske and Toretsk, in the eastern Donetsk region. Ukrainian military commanders reported that heavy combat continues along the front line.
