Oil tanker explodes in Strait of Hormuz, Iranian media reports

Iranian state media has reported an explosion aboard an oil tanker navigating the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime passage for global energy supplies. Maritime security agencies operating in the Persian Gulf region are actively monitoring the situation to determine whether the blast resulted from an operational failure or a hostile act.

Initial assessments indicate that the vessel's crew suffered no injuries, and no significant oil leakage has been observed in nearby waters. The vessel's identity, flag, and precise structural damage have not yet been fully detailed. Authorities have advised commercial ships operating in the area to exercise heightened caution as investigations into the cause of the explosion remain ongoing.
