Russian missile strikes hit Kyiv as Ukraine targeted a Russian oil refinery, while US-led NATO forces conducted operations near Kaliningrad.

Russia and Ukraine executed another round of reciprocal aerial attacks following the departure of US envoys from Kyiv. Russian ballistic missiles hit Kyiv overnight, resulting in at least two deaths and six injuries, while earlier drone strikes targeted an industrial facility in northern Ukraine. Ukrainian forces launched retaliatory long-range drone attacks against Russia's Saratov and Samara regions. Regional officials reported the interception of numerous drones targeting industrial facilities, while local reports indicated a fire broke out at the Kuibyshev oil refinery in Samara.

Simultaneously, US-led NATO military operations intensified near Russia's Kaliningrad exclave. The maneuver involved American and Norwegian fighter aircraft, AWACS and EA-37 reconnaissance planes, alongside Polish ground forces. NATO representatives stated that the alliance's actions are strictly defensive aimed at maintaining military readiness.
