Gaza residents held a mass funeral for 112 Palestinians recovered from a 2023 strike, while Jordan warned of threats to Al-Aqsa and the US Peace Council outlined conditions for Israeli withdrawal.

A mass funeral was held in Gaza City for 112 Palestinians, mostly women and children, whose remains were recently excavated after a November 2023 Israeli airstrike flattened a residential block in the Sabra district. The two-week recovery operation unearthed members from two extended families killed during the bombardment.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump's Peace Council announced following talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israeli troops will not fully withdraw from Gaza until Hamas completes its disarmament.

Separately, Jordan called an emergency meeting of regional foreign ministers to address what it described as an "imminent" threat of an Israeli takeover at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa mosque compound, warning that incursions by extremists risk inciting religious conflict.
