Kyiv and Russian regions hit in overnight strikes as NATO maneuvers near Kaliningrad

Russia launched ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv while Ukrainian drones hit Russian facilities, alongside reported U.S.-led NATO activity near Kaliningrad.
Russia launched ballistic missile attacks against Kyiv overnight, resulting in at least two fatalities and six injuries. The assault followed an earlier drone strike on a British American Tobacco facility in northern Ukraine.
In response, Ukrainian drones targeted several industrial locations in Russia's Saratov and Samara regions. A fire broke out at the Kuibyshev oil refinery, where Samara Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishev reported that air defenses intercepted "dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles."
Meanwhile, reports cited unusual U.S.-led NATO activity near the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, involving fighter jets from the U.S. and Norway alongside Polish ground forces. NATO described its actions as routine training to enhance readiness for a "defensive alliance."
