Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a US-backed 15-point Gaza peace plan, insisting military forces will not withdraw until Hamas disarms.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally rejected a 15-point Gaza peace proposal backed by US President Donald Trump, declaring that Israeli military forces will not pull back until Hamas fully disarms.

In televised remarks on Sunday, Netanyahu stated, "Israel rejects the 15-point document," stressing that troops "will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed". The stance comes despite Hamas endorsing the framework in late July and recent US pressure that led to an effective pause in Israeli strikes within the territory.

The rejection underscores mounting diplomatic friction between Washington and Jerusalem ahead of Israel's national election on October 27, where Netanyahu is balancing demands from far-right coalition partners against pressure from the United States.
