Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a US-backed 15-point peace plan for Gaza, insisting Israeli forces will not withdraw until Hamas is fully disarmed.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally rejected a 15-point Gaza peace proposal endorsed by US President Donald Trump and accepted by Hamas last month.

Speaking during a televised address on Sunday, Netanyahu stressed that Israeli military forces "will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed." The statement confirms growing diplomatic friction between Washington and Tel Aviv ahead of Israel's national election scheduled for October 27.

Despite the prime minister's public rejection of the agreement, Israeli military strikes in Gaza have largely paused following recent diplomatic intervention from the United States. Netanyahu remains under pressure from far-right coalition partners who oppose concessions, alongside efforts by Washington to secure a lasting cessation of hostilities.
