Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reaffirmed that troops will not pull out of Gaza until Hamas is disarmed, rejecting a US-backed 15-point peace plan.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated his government's rejection of a 15-point peace proposal for Gaza backed by US President Donald Trump, maintaining that military forces will remain in place until Hamas disarms completely.

Speaking to his cabinet on Sunday, Netanyahu stressed that Israel "will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed" and vowed to continue countering security threats. The framework, announced by Washington last month and accepted by Hamas, sought a phased path toward lasting stability in the territory.

Despite the public pushback, Israeli forces have largely scaled back major offensive actions in Gaza following diplomatic pressure from the United States. Analysts note that Netanyahu faces competing domestic and international pressures, balancing demands from far-right coalition partners with expectations from Washington ahead of Israel's national election scheduled for October 27.
