France's Constitutional Council approved the assisted dying bill with three reservations, while striking down a general social media ban for under-15s.

France’s Constitutional Council has validated legislation introducing a conditional right to assisted dying, clearing the way for its official promulgation. The ruling includes three interpretative reservations, notably guaranteeing a conscience clause for private and religious healthcare institutions. French President Emmanuel Macron commended the decision, describing it as completing an "exemplary democratic debate."

In the same session, the high court struck down the primary provision of a digital safety bill that sought a general ban on social media access for children under the age of 15, declaring the restriction disproportionately broad. Concurrently, major provisions of an emergency agricultural reform bill received constitutional approval, concluding a major legislative review for Macron's administration.
