Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Trump confirmed Russian oligarch Umar Kremlev funded part of their Bahamas wedding festivities following a ProPublica report.

Donald Trump Jr. and his wife, Bettina Trump, have confirmed that Russian businessman Umar Kremlev funded portions of their May wedding celebrations in the Bahamas following an investigation by ProPublica.

According to reports, Kremlev spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on the three-day event, covering expenses that included renting a private island and financing an elaborate fireworks display. In social media posts, the couple acknowledged the contribution, describing Kremlev as a "dear friend" who "very generously hosted two incredible nights" for their guests.

Kremlev, who maintains close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, previously received a state honor from the Kremlin and joined an official delegation to China. The disclosures drew sharp ethical concerns from former law enforcement authorities, with one ex-FBI official noting that such financial arrangements "should be unthinkable for the president's son."
