Russian strikes across Ukraine killed at least 17 people in the Kyiv region and hit multiple eastern and southern districts.

Russian forces launched extensive missile and drone bombardments across multiple regions of Ukraine, causing significant casualties and damage. In the capital region of Kyiv, overnight strikes killed up to 17 people and injured dozens more, igniting fires at residential complexes, industrial plants, and warehouses. Local officials described the assault as "one of the most tragic attacks so far" amid reports that air defenses were severely strained.

Beyond Kyiv, Russian attacks targeted the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions with approximately 180 drones. Local emergency services confirmed multiple fatalities in eastern districts, including three killed when a drone hit a gas station near Kryvyi Rih.
