Russian bombardments killed at least eight people across Ukraine, while Moscow claimed territorial advances in the eastern Donetsk region amid ongoing combat.

Russian forces carried out extensive drone and artillery bombardments across several Ukrainian regions, leaving at least eight people dead and more than 60 injured over a 24-hour period.

Local authorities reported that roughly 180 drones targeted areas including Odesa, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, nearly 60 strikes across five districts resulted in five fatalities and 16 injuries, notably in Kamianske and Pavlohrad. Additionally, an aerial attack on a petrol station near Kryvyi Rih killed three civilians, including an eight-year-old child.

Meanwhile, heavy fighting persisted on the eastern front. The Russian Defence Ministry claimed its troops seized the settlements of Vasyutinske and Toretsk in the Donetsk region, while Ukrainian military reports emphasised ongoing intense combat across active sectors.
