Christos Senekis assumes role as Cyprus agriculture minister

Christos Senekis has taken over as Cyprus's Minister of Agriculture from Maria Panayiotou following a formal handover ceremony.
Christos Senekis has officially assumed office as Cyprus's new Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, taking over from outgoing minister Maria Panayiotou following a formal swearing-in ceremony.
During the handover, Panayiotou noted that her departure came by personal preference, stating, "I am leaving by my own choice." She reflected on her time in leadership by presenting a list of 62 achievements completed under her ministry's purview.
The leadership change forms part of broader governmental adjustments in Cyprus. Senekis now assumes responsibility for managing agricultural policies, rural development initiatives, and environmental protection priorities across the island nation.
