Bulgaria's defence ministry confirmed that a crashed drone matches a type used by Ukrainian forces, adding that there is no indication of a deliberate attack on its territory.

Bulgaria's defence ministry has identified an unmanned aerial vehicle that crashed within the country's borders as a model widely deployed by Ukrainian armed forces.

Military officials noted that initial assessments show no evidence of an intentional attack targeting Bulgarian territory. Specialized personnel are continuing their examination of the wreckage to reconstruct the drone's trajectory and evaluate whether a mechanical defect, navigational error, or electronic interference caused the incident.

The crash resulted in no casualties or damage to infrastructure. Bulgarian authorities remain in communication with NATO partners as technical evaluations continue to clarify the origins and flight circumstances of the device.
