Bulgaria's defence ministry confirmed a drone that crashed on its territory is a model used by Ukraine, adding there is no sign of an intentional attack.

Bulgarian authorities have clarified details surrounding an unmanned aerial vehicle that crashed within the country's territory over the weekend. According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence, technical examinations indicate that the aircraft is a model "largely used by Ukrainian armed forces."

Despite identifying the type of drone, defense officials stressed that current findings show no evidence of a deliberate strike or intentional attack targeting Bulgarian territory. The crash resulted in no injuries or damage to local infrastructure.

Specialized military personnel are continuing their examination of the wreckage to determine the exact circumstances of the flight, evaluating potential causes such as mechanical failure, operator error, or electronic interference. Bulgarian officials remain in close coordination with NATO allies as the technical assessment continues.
