An Austrian Airlines flight traveling from Tel Aviv to Vienna made an emergency landing in Sofia, Bulgaria, on Sunday evening following a bomb threat. Flight OS82, an Airbus A320 carrying 51 passengers, was diverted after an anonymous report warned of a suspicious object aboard.

Bulgarian authorities evacuated all passengers upon arrival while security forces searched the aircraft. According to the Bulgarian transport ministry, the air force scrambled a MiG-29 fighter jet to escort the airliner prior to landing.
